49 days to go

I'm not counting the days until Jaidyn arrives... really... *sarcastic eye roll*. 49 days until the due date, 28 days until he's full term. I'm getting rather large and uncomfortable. Getting out of a chair can be a real problem sometimes. The braxton hicks contractions are getting rather annoying now, but I can't really stop them. All the complaints aside, I am enjoying the pregnancy, and looking forward to the outcome. But it is hard not to complain sometimes.
It was a busy week that has just gone by. On Wednesday, Ty's job asked if he would be okay with going to Denmark. He wasn't sure about leaving me alone this late in my pregnancy. He talked to me, and it is better that he went now rather than after the baby is here. Thursday his boss told Ty that he was going to Denmark and they booked his flights. He left Saturday at 12, and was pretty much travelling for 24 hours. 3 different flights, and a 4 hour train ride. As of right now he should be finishing day 2 of the certification course. I was really upset that he left, but it's more hormones than anything. I cried after he told me he was going. Thats not like me. I didn't cry at the airport, but I was very close. I let myself indulge in a little retail therapy, and a manicure and pedicure the day he left. He's home in 6 days, and I get to pick him up from the airport.
Sunday I had some major nesting going on... cleaned the bunnies, the dishes, and the bedroom, worked on Jaidyn's room. Worked on my knitting project (blanket for Jaidyn).
Doctor appointment went well last week. I'm consistantly measuring 2 weeks ahead. My blood pressure was really good, and I only gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks!!! That makes me happy.
So... the updated belly pictures... 33 weeks. The stretchmarks make me cry...

8 weeks to go!!!

This week gone by was definitely more eventful. Unfortunately not to my liking. Jaidyn has decided to be a little monster and try to scare me and the rest of the family... This is what happened on Wednesday last week. And if you don't know... braxton hicks contractions are like practice contractions. They are supposed to be irregular and non consistent. They don't hurt, but I can definitely notice them. It's like my belly turns into a rock for a minute or two.
Wednesday I had braxton hicks contractions, and there were 5 minutes apart for over an hour (NOT supposed to happen) so I decided to call my doctor who was closed. I called the on call doctor who didn't answer. So I ended up calling labor and delivery. They wanted to check everything out so in I went. Well as soon as I was in the bed and hooked up to the monitors nothing happened the entire time I was there. They did a NST and the baby scored 10/10, and decided to have a little party in my uterus while I was there. They called my doctor with the results and said I did the right thing. I was sent home to rest for the rest of the day. My dad had me stay home from work on Thursday and has cut my hours down so I can rest more.
I had my doctors appointment the same day with my blood pressure doctor and he decided that I don't need to come in anymore. My BP was 115/72, even after the stress that day with all the braxton hicks. So looks like all is good.
I had a talk with Jaidyn and told him he has to stop looking for the exit for a few more weeks. I don't know if he will listen though. I'm still getting quite a few braxton hicks contractions, but not consistent. Let's see how long Jaidyn will stay put.
The rest of the week I pretty much rested. I got some new pajama pants and they are awesome!! I needed some that fit and will fit after Jaidyn is born. Right now they fit under the belly, but can kinda fit over if I want. Oooo, I also got a new dressing gown. SOOOO cozy, I love it!
On a random note... I'm still trying to get the bunnies to get along so we can put them in one pen. We got a spray bottle and we put them together. When they start fighting, we spray them. Everytime I spray them, they stop and look at me. Ashley has the funniest look by far because her fur is longer than Coco's. She sits there, soaking wet, tilts her head to one side and gives you the look that says 'what the hell?!?!' So cute. The spray bottle works well to get them apart when they fight... keeping fingers and hands scratch and bite mark free lol.

Okay... so, my weekly belly picture. 32 weeks. I don't know how I am supposed to grow much bigger, but apparently it's gonna happen.

Cake decorationg class

Last night we had our last class in course 2 for cake decorating. When I was trying to ice my cake before class I almost started crying because the cake kept crumbling and I had crumbs everywhere. I was so upset. But it turned out okay because we covered all the crumbs with new icing. The pictures are too big to post here so, take a look at them via the links. :D

31 weeks along, 63 days to go

Been an interesting week. We had a pretty bad accident at work, but no one was hurt. Unless you are a car enthusiast, then you could feel sorry for the 3 cars, especially the Bently. Long story. Don't ask. That was a very bad day and caused me to have braxton hicks contractions all day and most of the next day. And made my blood pressure go up because I was so stressed out.

Had my doctors appointment and little Jaidyn is growing away. I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead. And I'm pretty sure thats all baby as I haven't gained too much weight. At 30 weeks I've gained 16.5 lbs, which I am very pleased with. Especially since I haven't been able to exercise due to the constant pain I've been in. The doctor was concerned with me having highish blood pressure that baby might not be growing properly... got no problems there!

So yeah... 9 weeks and counting. A lot of people are saying that I'm gonna have Jaidyn early, and if they are right, that means 7 weeks. Eeeek!!! It just doesn't seem real... how close everything is getting. We have the crib set up, and once the nursery is done, I'll post more pictures of that. But for now, here is me in all my pregnant belly glory lol!!!

A while since my last blog

It has been a while since my last blog, and I'm not really sure what to say as an update. We got the stroller and car seat with my mom, and we got the crib with Ty's mom. We have yet to put the crib together as we just got it on Sunday and we are going to be busy every night this week.
We started the 'young parents' class and we've had two classes so far. We've had to watch two videos of women giving birth and the guy's reaction is always the same and it's pretty funny. The nurse in our class also told us about a doula who is completing her practicum and is offering her services for free. So we took her up on that. We met with the doula last week and we are meeting again this week. I think it will be good to take some of the pressure off Ty, and having someone there who is trained to relax me should be good as well.
My dreams are definitely getting wacky... having all sorts of strange dreams and they just seem to be going further out on a limb. I tell Ty about them and he just laughs at the dreams. Oh well, 9 weeks and 6 days to go until Jaidyn's due date, then maybe these weird dreams will stop.
Here are my last three belly pictures. I'm defiantly growing and excuse the stretch marks. I can't seem to avoid those things as much as I try. The scary thing about these pictures is that I haven't really gained any weight over the last 3 weeks. I'm sitting steady at a total of 15lbs gained and my belly is HUGE. Either Jaidyn is going to be huge or he knows where to sit to make me look huge.

91 days and counting

I am in the third trimester now. There is one word for that. SCARY. This really is the home stretch now, and soon I'll have Jaidyn in my arms. One minute I think, oh wow, 3 more months, thats forever, but then I think... 3 MORE MONTHS OMG THAT'S SO SOON!!! My belly is growing constantly so I try to avoid the scale. Not that I'll be able to see it for much longer.

This weekend was a productive one. Saturday we registered at Babies R Us. Ty then took me to a pet store that had all sorts of animals and goodies for my bunnies. There was one rabbit there that decided he didn't like his cage, so he jumped into the next one beside him. He didn't like that one either, and jumped into the one beside that. It was so funny to watch, and so cute!!! Didn't do much Saturday night, I think I fell asleep on the couch. Sunday was my busy day. I pretty much cleaned out the baby's room of all my crap that has accumulated in there since we moved. I painted one wall, the closet door, and the dresser/changing table a gorgeous baby blue color, and hung up curtains. It looks really good now, almost like a nursery. We just need a crib now.

Here is my weekly belly picture at 27 weeks

IT'S A BOY

Saturday, Ty and I took our mom's out, saying that we were going out to lunch. Well to their surprise we took them to a 3D ultrasound. We got to see our little baby, and I have to say what a cutie. Last week I decided I wanted to find out if it was a boy or a girl, and now I am proud to say that we are expecting a baby BOY!!! He is defiantly 100% all boy and very proud of it. He kept showing it off during the ultrasound. Our little boy, Jaidyn, has the cutest little chubby cheeks, nose, mouth, fingers... everything is absolutely adorable. He kept his hads up by his face during the entire ultrasound, kept sucking his left thumb while having his right had up by his right ear. It was so cute. It will be neat to see if he sleeps like this after he's born. He kicked me quite a bit during the ultrasound too, so we couldn't get a good shot of his legs because they wouldn't stay still long enough. But I'm so glad we went and had it done. The grandma's were thrilled too. And now we have some real keepsake pictures to show him when he's older.

Needless to say, Ty is thrilled at the thought of a little boy to share his video games with and play soccer with. I'm already threatening to put Jaidyn in a little sailor suit, but Ty doesn't like that idea (what Ty doesn't know doesn't hurt him). I also have to find him an adorable little Santa suit for Christmas. Oh the shopping I could do. I saw a really cute onsie down in Macy's that said "Mommy's New Man." I can't wait to go shopping for Jaidyn.

So other than finding out the gender of our little monkey, nothing really happened this week. Had a few nasty migraines, but not a bad week. Now we just have to wait about 14 weeks (98 days) to meet this little guy. I'm hoping he won't go past my due date, but the way he's kicking me, I'm sure he's already planning his escape lol!!!

Anyways, here are some pictures of our little guy and my latest belly shot at 26 weeks.

25 weeks - 15 to go

Time is flying by and its getting scary. Baby is getting so much stronger now too. When we went to the movies last week, baby discovered my bladder again. And I swear if you could have seen inside baby was singing "I found your bladder!" then stomping on it a few times. Another fun thing that baby does is play the 'kick/poke' game as I called it. When baby kicks me, I give a little poke back. Baby then kicks me in the same place so I poke back. Repeat until baby falls asleep. Well now baby plays the game with daddy. Ty had his hand on my belly, and baby kicked daddy, daddy poked back. It continued for about a minute or two and was really cute... daddy baby bonding :D :D

We are now pretty sure we have a boy and a girl name picked out for the baby. Both first names start with J. So I am now calling the baby Jelly Bean because either way baby would have the same initials.

We got the rest of my stuff moved into the apartment on Saturday. We celebrated by having a nap, then going out to the Keg for dinner... yummy chicken teriyaki and garlic mashed potatoes :D. The apartment is still a mess, but we're making our way through the mess, and Ty is still being a really big help unpacking. I can only do a few things before my round ligament pain gets really sore.

Speaking of that evil pain... Friday was pretty scary. I had terrible pain, and I could barely manage to walk a few steps. I cried every time I had to get out of my chair and walk. Then by the end of the day I started getting really sharp stabbing pains in the center of the bottom of my belly. I was still feeling the baby move so I just let the pain ride itself out but OWWW!!!

So here is an update of my belly at 25 weeks... getting bigger everyday.

24 weeks and counting

16 weeks left, 1 month until the prenatal classes start, and tentatively 12 weeks until maternity leave starts!!! Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday when I found out at only 3 weeks... wow...

Ty and I are mostly in to the new apartment, and its a big mess. Ty has been an absolute angel about moving. I can't lift pretty much anything, and just going up and down the stairs a few times hurts (the round ligament pain thing). The sad part is, that it is all my stuff that Ty is moving. He doesn't know how much I appreciate it him doing all this. Makes me love him that much more.

The bunnies are settled into the apartment. Ashley is still pissed as hell and hides behind her litter box thinking I can't see her. Coco is pretty much still interference to the move. I just think she's happy that she's not in a small cage anymore, but back in her huge pen.

Anyways, just a short update. Even though I didn't do much in the way of moving stuff I still managed to over do it and I have been having random braxton hicks contractions (oops, don't tell my doctor I over did it :S) So tonight is a night of doing not much. I'm actually going to a cake decorating class, so that should keep me somewhat still for 2 hours.

Here is my 24 weeks belly... I'm gonna be MASSIVE

23 week doctor appointment

Just a short update. We went to the doctor yesterday for my regular checkup. Blood pressure still looks good, so WOOHOO!!! and let's not talk about weight gain lol, not bad, still below average, but ouch is all I'm gonna say. The round ligament pain that I still have is normal, and I got a dirty look when I told her that we were moving, so I'm REALLY not allowed to touch any boxes now (sorry Ty).

The funniest part was when the doctor was checking the our little monkey's heartbeat. As soon as she put the doppler on my tummy, baby woke up and kicked it. Then baby wouldn't stay still for very long to let us hear the heartbeat and kept squirming around. I couldn't stop laughing because I could feel the baby trying to hide from the doctor, and we could hear the swooshing sound from the baby moving around. Still has 16 and a half weeks until the due date and our baby is the biggest brat, but I knew that at around 11 weeks with the first scare (painful cramping). Anyhooo there's a mini update on our little one.

22 weeks, 6 days pregnant

I can't believe how time is flying. I'm 23 weeks along, leaving only 17 short weeks left. Our little baby is quite content kicking me, punching me, and generally beating me up from the inside. But I wouldn't trade the feeling for the world. It is absolutely amazing. I'm pretty sure I can differentiate the kicks from the punches. When the baby is squirming and wiggling around, it is so neat, unlike anything I have ever felt.

We still don't know what the gender of the baby is. We went for an ultrasound at 18 weeks and they wouldn't even look to see what it is. Now, 5 weeks later, I don't want to know any more, but Ty still does. I'm looking forward to having the baby and the doctor telling us if it is a boy or a girl. As long as the baby is healthy, that is all I am concerned about.

We have already picked out the crib bedding, which is yellow with teddy bears. It is so cute!!! We move into our new apartment this week, and we are allowed to paint the baby's room. I'm thinking of a pale yellow, and a pale green with a white line separating the two colors (yellow on the top part of the wall, green on the bottom). I think we would only paint one wall though, the one that the crib is going against. We just need a crib now!! hahaha

Here is my growing belly from 4 weeks along up to the present. I will update it every Tuesday at the start of a new week.

To my horror I started discovering stretch marks this week. I'm scared of how many I'll get, but I know it will be worth it when we have our little one to hold. The only other thing I'm not thrilled about is the round ligament pain I'm getting. At some moments, it leaves me in so much pain I can barely walk. My belly popped out to fast for my body to adjust. I guess it's because I'm only 5'2, so the baby only has room to go out. If you look at my belly pictures, you will understand... I feel so huge and I have 17 weeks left. Just watch me grow.

Here is a picture of our baby at 13 weeks, 4 days. I had to go to the hospital because I thought I was miscarrying, but everything turned out fine, and we got this precious picture of our baby. Where it says head, that is where the head is. I know the body looks like the face, but it really isn't. The spot that you can see is either the heart or the bladder... I think it is the bladder.

And these 3 pictures are from the ultrasound at 18 weeks, 1 day. You can even see the eye. I just love our little baby. Its hard to imagine loving someone so much and you haven't even met them. There are no words to describe it.
